2024 Chevy Traverse

When Chevrolet introduced the 2024 Chevy Traverse, it was clear the model's focus was on safety and technology. More than ever before, Chevy's innovations toward these features and functionality shine through, making an excellent case for consideration as your next vehicle. In addition, the new Z71 trim option allows you to create memories with friends and family in ways you might not have considered before.

The Chevrolet team boosted the standard safety and driver assistance features for the 2024 Traverse, improving on an already impressive collection. For instance, the Traverse offers Super Cruise for multiple trims, plus an updated Buckle-to-Drive feature that requires both the driver and passenger to be buckled in before driving. The Traverse also balances a rugged design with unique accents that turn heads and warrant a second look. Beyond that, new technology features-such as the best-in-class standard 17.7-inch color touchscreen and wireless phone charging-keep you connected during the drive.

Finally, the 2024 Traverse offers flexibility in seating and cargo space, which is essential in today's fast-paced world, where you may need to use your cargo area for your side hustle in the morning and for soccer gear in the afternoon. With a best-in-class capacity of up to 98 cu.ft., you can easily manage both and more. Your passengers will also enjoy easy access to the third row with the help of SmartSlide, allowing them to get into the back with ease, even when a car seat is installed.

At Dave Gill Chevrolet, we're proud to offer the new Chevrolet Traverse, giving our community the opportunity to own a vehicle that easily transitions from work to play and provides you with all the features you need (and a few you might not have realized you needed). We can walk you through our Traverse lineup and review your options so you can make an educated choice about which trim is right for you.

The Z71

It makes sense to explore the new trim for the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse, especially as more and more families focus on how they spend their time together. The quest for work-life balance is made even easier with the Z71, giving you the chance to hike, bike, camp, and more with family and friends. The Traverse Z71 gives you more than an inch of increased ground clearance over the other trims, as well as a wider frame for improved stability and handling. You'll also gain better traction control with all-terrain tires that are specific to the Z71 trim, as is an improved traction control system that gives you a dedicated Terrain Mode among the already impressive driver-select modes and Hill Descent Control.

Something else you might not realize at first glance is the thoughtful design of the front fascia, which Chevy's designers created to improve angles when off-roading, along with adding an aluminum skid plate and exclusive red tow hooks. Rounding out the perks for off-roading and adventure, the Z71 has a standard trailering package that allows you to haul up to 5,000 lbs when appropriately equipped and a Twin-Clutch AWD that ensures you have enough power when and where you need it.

Finally, the Z71 makes available Chevy's Super Cruise tool. This hands-free driving technology is among the latest innovations in the industry, allowing you to travel semi-autonomously on over 400,000 miles across the United States and Canada. The technology functions with OnStar and real-time cameras, sensors, GPS, and LiDAR map data to safely detect the road ahead of you while also ensuring you remain focused for your and your passengers' safety. Super Cruise also adds Lane Centering, Lane Change on Demand, Automatic Lane Change, and Super Cruise Trailering on certain Chevrolet models.

If you've been searching for a bit of adventure in your life while also needing a capable and dependable vehicle for everyday driving, the Chevy Traverse Z71 is a great option to consider. You can talk to our team about everything this new trim level brings to the table to see where it ranges in your list of possibilities.

Safety

The 2024 Traverse offers some of the best safety features in the industry, adding to an already dynamic lineup from previous years. This lineup falls under the umbrella of Chevy Safety Assist, the bowtie brand's collection of driver assistance features. When exploring our inventory and talking to our team, you'll recognize some of the more basic features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam High Beam Assist. However, some of the newer offerings might require more exploration...

Rear Park Assist: This feature is a must-have in busy areas, giving you the assistance you need to safely guide your vehicle into place while in reverse. Cameras and sensors work together to alert you to objects in your path so you can avoid a collision.

Adaptive Cruise Control: Traffic can change in an instant, which is why this safety feature is crucial. It automatically maintains appropriate space between you and any vehicles in front of you to ensure you stay at a safe distance from them. This reduces the need to keep your foot hovering above the brake while in cruise control and allows you to hit the road with confidence.

Safety Alert Seat: With this system activated, you can be alerted to potential crashes and react accordingly. It's almost like having a sixth sense when driving, as this system uses vibration pulses on the left, right, or both sides of your driver's seat as alerts. You can also set the system to an audible alert if you'd like.

Speed Limit Assist: With the use of cameras and the Traffic Sign Recognition system, Speed Limit Assist automatically adjusts your vehicle's maximum speed to ensure you stay within the legal limit. It has two modes, allowing you to adjust how it works. In automatic mode, it uses the front camera and embedded navigation information to determine the speed limit and set your maximum speed accordingly. In manual mode, you set the top speed. In both instances, your vehicle will apply the brakes and slow down to stay within the set limit.

These are only a few of the new standard safety features the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse offers. Additionally, the Traverse gives you the ability to drive hands-free with the available Super Cruise tool on certain trim levels. To find out more, talk with a member of our team today.

Technology

Technology was a strong focus when Chevy's designers created the new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. Its impact can be felt throughout the vehicle, from the new Z71 trim and its off-road capabilities to the new standard safety features the Traverse offers. First things first, the 2024 Traverse is available in four trim levels, starting with the base RS and ending with the LS, and each one provides you with comfort, functionality, and technology that make your trips easier and more enjoyable.

One of the first things you'll notice when sliding into the driver's seat of the 2024 Traverse is the best-in-class 17.0-inch touchscreen; this is the command center for your SUV, giving you easy accessibility to your favorite apps when connected to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. You'll also get updated diagnostic information and more with the 11.0-inch Driver Information Center. Another perk that is available for the 2024 model year is HD Surround Vision; this system uses data from four cameras to create a full picture of the area around your Traverse, allowing you to navigate with purpose, especially in congested areas or when hauling a trailer.

Finally, supportive apps like OnStar Safety & Security give you access to assistance when you need it most, along with on-demand vehicle information and HD streaming when appropriately equipped. Another tech benefit comes in the form of the myChevrolet app, which allows you to use your smartphone to connect to your Traverse; here, you can remotely start your vehicle, view your fuel life, and unlock or lock your car. You'll also find amenities like multiple USB charging ports and an available wireless phone charging pad in your new Traverse.

Our team can review each feature with you and explore what is available with each trim level so you can determine which setup is best for you. We can also answer any questions you have and provide a demonstration if needed.
